Why we started

Our story

EcoAida began at Porto Conte Ricerche, in Alghero, Sardinia, with a simple question: what if surfaces could clean themselves, using nothing but light? The answer came from years of research into carbon-based particles — a chemistry that activates under ordinary visible light, without heavy metals, without UV lamps, without added treatments. Today, that chemistry is the foundation of a platform we license to industrial partners across coatings, textiles, polymers, and more.
